Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the generous portions and affordability, often noting that the quality exceeds expectations for the price range. The chicken curry and biryani frequently receive high praise for their robust flavors and expertly balanced spices. Many appreciate the chef's allowance for personalized spice levels, showcasing an attention to customer preference.

Friendly service enhances the dining experience, with staff known for their warmth and willingness to engage with customers. The freshness of the ingredients stands out, particularly in the vegetarian starters like the onion bhaji and samosas, often highlighted in positive reviews as must-tries.

For those craving comfort food, Mansoori offers a cozy, relaxed atmosphere perfect for solo dining, making it an ideal spot to unwind with a satisfying meal.

Most Disliked

Despite its charm, some diners mention the limited menu choices, which while focused on quality, may not satisfy those looking for more diverse options. Occasionally, peak lunch hours can lead to a crowded atmosphere, making it less comfortable for those wishing to enjoy a quieter meal.

A few reviews reflect concerns about meal customization, as not all dishes can be adjusted to unique dietary preferences or restrictions. Additionally, some regulars have noted occasional variations in dish consistency, owing to the fresh-cooked nature of the offerings, which can vary slightly from day to day.

While the casual setup is part of its appeal, a handful of diners feel it lacks a formal dining experience, preferring sit-down restaurants for a more curated atmosphere.

Situated in the old Butter Market in the heart of the city, this really is a hidden gem. The Butter Market itself has developed massively in recent years and is worth a visit for its range of stalls. However Mansoori is a particular treat. Indian food served in a “street food” style designed to be eaten on the benches provided if taken away. The portions were generous and well priced and the food itself was tasty with just the right amount of spice. In addition to all of this the staff were personable and friendly.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had in Hereford. Complete hidden gem, so glad we stumbled upon them. Extremely tasty, the flavours were amazing, chef asked us how spicy we like it and he got it perfect. The staff were all so friendly as well. Will definitely make this our regular - 10/10 could not fault it.

Enjoyed good food from this stall at Hereford Butter Market. Freshly cooked samosa, bhaji and prawn biriani. Best chai tea I've had. Efficient service. Highly recommend.

Ordered a south Indian lamb (which chef kindly.made spicier for me) with a stuffed prantha and the other half had a paneer wrap. We were both blown away by the food. Curry was rich and flavourful, and genuinely one of the best I've eaten (and I am a curry fiend). I would honestly come back to Hereford just to eat there again.

The most consistent curry place in Hereford, opens at 11 most days until 5 and it’s the best you gonna get in Hereford, not a massive menu choice but quality and big enough to please most people, everything cooked fresh to order, and prices more like street food should be, affordable.

Great Indian food at a very reasonable price. I always judge a place on its veg biryani, and this one was fab, and a great portion size which meant I had some leftover for the next day. Great menu selection and very impressive from such a small kitchen. Would very highly recommend!
